“You’ve got the job.”

That’s more or less how it sounded when Hannes from the HAZ called me after I had applied for the position of Editor-in-Chief. Of course, the HAZ had been looking for a successor to my predecessor Nina Seiler for quite some time, and there was some pressure to fill the role. Still, I was genuinely happy that Hannes placed this trust in me so quickly.

After a few meetings and discussions, I began working on my first issue. From then on, I had the opportunity to produce a new edition every three months. Thanks to the many wonderful people who filled the magazine with text, images, and so much more, it was always a pleasure to do this work.

3.5 years, 13.5 issues, 1 redesign

During my time as Editor-in-Chief, I gained a great deal of experience and was able to further develop the magazine in many areas. This included a redesign starting with issue 3_2022. My final planned issue was 4_2022, but in the end, I remained on board until issue 2_2023.
